Description
Marianhill’s Adult Day Program provides older adults living in Pembroke and surrounding communities with a variety of structured social, recreational, spiritual and physical activities. Some services include physically and mentally stimulating activities, social interaction and companionship, preventative health care and many more. Marianhill’s Dementia Respite Unit is designed to provide relief for family or friends from their caregiving role and to help relieve stress placed on family relationships, offer families an opportunity to gain information and receive ongoing support and encouragement in their caregiving role and promote independence to maximize the client’s full potential. Those eligible are seniors living Renfrew County diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementia and medically stable coping with memory loss and are able to return to their own home or an alternate living arrangement.
