Description

The John and Jennifer Ruddy Geriatric Day Hospital is a bilingual interprofessional outpatient program for seniors. To be considered for admission a patient must meet the following requirements: be at least 65 years of age, be referred by a physician and requiring two or more of these needs to be addressed: Mobility/Falls, Difficulty with activities of daily living (such as bathing, meal preparation or problem-solving in emergencies), Cognitive issues and symptoms that are affecting function, Medication concerns, and/or Caregiver stress / Future planning. Their team works closely with the client and caregivers to set goals and implement a personalized therapeutic program that can last up to 10 weeks.
