The Geriatric Day Hospital at the Queensway-Carleton Hospital is an outpatient hospital whose goal is to be held accountable to the patient and community at large by adding value to the total patient experience. They focus on helping seniors gain and maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle.Their services provide an assessment and treatment program with a liaison to community support. They also provide support for assessments with recommendations to improve daily life such as getting up out of a chair, understanding medications, preparing meals, bathing and dressing, and memory.
