Description

The Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) is a not-for-profit organization working to provide health and social services to communities in far west Ottawa. Specific services for persons with dementia include the Adult Day Program, which offers respite for the primary caregiver by providing a full day of activity for adults experiencing dementia-related disorders and the Dementia Caregiver Support Groups, which they host. Other services offered include: the arrangement of services for clients, Meals on Wheels delivery, diner/meal clubs, transportation, friendly visiting and telephone assurance, Snow Go ASSIST (a subsidy program for low-income seniors to help cover the cost of snow clearing), Foot Care (nurse and services).
