Description
Forge provides an information and referral service to the community at large and community support programs to seniors and adults with physical disabilities living in Ottawa’s west end. This centre offers Seniors Programs (Recreation, education, driver refresher courses, stay-cations), Footcare, Day programs, Luncheon Program, Home Help with chores (on a fee-for-service basis), Home Maintenance with small repairs and odd jobs (on a fee-for-service basis), Snow Go and Snow Go Assist subsidy programs to help cover the cost of snow clearing, Tap Telephone Assurance, Friendly Visiting, and transportation to shopping, groceries and appointments. They also provide referrals for various Caregiver Support programs.
