Description

Cindy MacKay is proud to lead her Nurse Next Door team in serving communities around Ottawa, ON, with compassionate 24 hour senior home care services for your loved ones. Cindy has always had a knack for helping people. She has a BA in Psychology with a double minor in Law and Sociology from Carleton University and Developmental Service Worker Diploma, focusing on seniors. Cindy and her team also know that being cared for in one’s first language, whether French, Spanish, Arabic or Italian, it can make all the difference when someone isn’t feeling well. Dementia patients can benefit from Nurse Next Door through Dementia and Alzheimer’s services. These services include: providing techniques to improve communication, coping strategies for family caregivers to deal with challenging behaviours, maintaining a familiar and safe environment with a daily routine, using memory games and activities for mental stimulation, family support through resources, training and educating, providing respite care, personal support services, and promoting a physical activity plan.
