Description

The Memory Clinic’s Lead Trainer, Maria, has over 20 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in adult stroke rehabilitation followed by hospital administration positions. Since 2014, Maria has led Memory Fitness sessions both in community and residential settings. Their scientific director, Frank, has over 25 years of experience in the care of the elderly. Since 2008 he has worked exclusively with memory disorders. He is actively leading research projects related to memory loss. Physical exercise improves heart and lung function, priming the brain for learning. The memory clinic offers gentle cardio routines at the beginning of each class, followed by cognitive training, which creates new connections in the brain. They also offer a variety of fun activities that stimulate the senses and brain functions and encourage social interaction during the sessions.
