Lowertown Community Resource Centre has been offering a range of social and community services to individuals and families residing in Lowertown since 1970. The services provided for seniors include monthly coffee houses, annual art programs, their Multicultural Program (which facilitates the integration of people from various ethnic backgrounds who are new to Canada), and monthly Collective Kitchen meet-ups that encourage group cooking and meals. They also offer referral and information services, Good-food boxes with cheap fresh foods, housing assistance, women-only swim, women-only aerobics, and promote community improvement and engagement.
