The Day Program at Perley Rideau Veterans Centre promotes a sense of fun, accomplishment, body awareness and positive self-esteem for individuals living with dementia. Caregivers enjoy a day of much-needed respite, knowing their loved ones are in good hands. The day program typically begins with coffee/tea and muffins and a conversation about life experiences, current events and any topic of specific interest to the clients. The programs are flexible, and clients can participate in activities tailored to their functional ability and interests.
